The Program
What will our training look like? We will work to get ourselves into sprint length triathlon shape slowly over the course of 4 months to be ready to complete the Center Beginner Triathlon at the Sand Dunes Swimming Pool in Hooper, Colorado on June 4, 2016. In doing this, participants will be given training, nutrition, motivation and swimming tips along the way. The camaraderie that develops while we train together is the best part of all.
To participate, you’ll simply need a swimsuit, goggles, running shoes, a cycling helmet, and a functional bike.
Swimming can take place wherever you are able to do it.
Workouts are published to the website on a weekly basis. Links to instructional and informational videos will also be included.
To get started it is expected that you are able to walk at a fairly brisk pace for 30 minutes, you can balance when riding a bike, and that you can at least float in a pool, even if not actually swim across it.
